Ather Energy boosts Tamil Nadu’s EV infrastructure with 430+ fast chargers and 50+ LECCS stations, supporting a cleaner, more connected future.

Ather Energy has taken a significant leap in strengthening the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Tamil Nadu by installing over 430 Ather Grid fast-charging points across 38 cities in the state.

In a move to further support the growing EV community, Ather has also deployed more than 50 LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) stations, designed to be brand-agnostic and compatible with various light electric vehicles.

This initiative underscores Ather’s commitment to building a robust and inclusive EV charging infrastructure for a cleaner and more connected future.

Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, Ravneet Singh Phokela, added that “charging has always been held as one of the primary obstacles, and hitting the 400-fast charger milestone in Tamil Nadu becomes a clear indication of the company serving the purpose of making the ownership of electric two-wheelers more affordable.”

The charging points include such urban and tourist hotspots as Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Chennai, Rameswaram, Coonoor and Yelagiri, and essential inter-city routes such as Coimbatore-Bangalore, Madurai-Kanyakumari, Trichy-Chennai and Chennai-Pondicherry.

It also maintains a wide retail and service network in the state with a total of 44 Experience Centres and 42 Service Centres in 35 cities, as of June 30, 2025.

Across India, Ather Energy currently operates more than 3,300 Ather Grid fast-charging stations, creating one of the largest-two wheeler electric car charging networks in India.
