India Proposes Unified National Framework for Electricity Data Sharing

Bajel Projects Limited has announced that it has successfully bagged a significant new contract from the PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). The order has been placed on behalf of PGCIL’s Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), M/s Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Limited.

This domestic project marks a key addition to Bajel Projects’ portfolio, involving the Transmission Line package TL-01 for the Bellary-Davanagere 2nd 400kV (Quad) D/c line. As a major infrastructure development, the scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a high-capacity 400kV transmission line spanning the distance from Bellary to Davanagere.

It has secured a major domestic order from PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for a new transmission line project. Under this EPC contract, it will be responsible for the end-to-end design, engineering, and construction of the line. It’s an ambitious undertaking, with a clear 21-month countdown to completion starting from the official date of the award notification. This project is a key moment for the company as it continues to strengthen its partnership with one of the industry’s leading entities.

The contract is awarded in the ordinary course of business. Notably, the company confirms that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not fall under related party transactions, ensuring full transparency and adherence to “arm’s length” principles.

With a completion timeline of 21 months, this project underscores Bajel Projects’ commitment to strengthening India’s power transmission infrastructure. By leveraging its EPC expertise, the company continues to play a vital role in enhancing grid connectivity and energy reliability across the region.
