BANF Intelligent Tire System Wins US Army's xTech Live Pitch

BANF Smart Tire was recognized as a winner in the U.S. Army’s xTech Live Pitch Competition at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The competition highlights innovative advancements in defense technology, and BANF Smart Tire earned recognition for its cutting-edge intelligent tire system designed specifically for military autonomous trucks and unmanned vehicles.

BANF’s advanced connected tire system leverages tire-mounted sensors equipped with 3-axis accelerometers and profilers, to overcome the battery limitations of conventional Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). This cutting-edge system provides real-time data on critical performance metrics, including tire pressure / blowout, temperature, tread depth, and wheel alignment—enhancing fuel efficiency and safety. Additionally, it detects loose wheels to prevent tire detachment, monitors load capacity, and assesses road conditions, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and operational reliability.

The Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) emphasizes the importance of engaging with industry through innovative platforms. This initiative aims to:

    • Identify commercially developed, world-class technologies beneficial to the U.S. Department of Defense.
    • Integrate non-traditional innovators into the Department’s Science and Technology ecosystem.
    • Provide expertise and feedback to accelerate, mature, and transition technologies of interest to the Department.

As a result of this prestigious recognition, BANF will receive several benefits that further enhance its growth and visibility:

    • Cash Prize: A non-dilutive cash award of $10,000, announced live on the Eureka Park Main Stage at CES 2025.
    • Engagement with U.S. Army and DoD Experts: The opportunity to engage directly with U.S. Army and Department of Defense experts, providing invaluable feedback and guidance on the company’s innovations.
    • Potential for Future Collaboration: The win opens doors for BANF to explore further collaboration with U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, and other government organizations, offering the possibility of additional funding and development partnerships.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, and the xTech Program,” stated Ron Yoogun Lee, VP of Global Business at BANF. “This opportunity strengthens our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in defense technology, and we are excited about the future collaborations ahead.”
