Ceigall India Enters Renewable Energy with 337 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra

Ceigall India Limited is expanding into the realm of renewable energy and has received two Letters of Intent (LOIs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Limited (MSEDCL) to procure 337 MW of solar power.

The company shall develop grid-connected solar power plants in Maharashtra by using competitive bidding on a tariff basis. The project is within Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini. Yojana 2.0.

    Commenting on the development

Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman & Managing Director of Ceigall India, said, “Securing Letters of Intent for solar power procurement in Maharashtra marks Ceigall’s foray into the renewable energy sector, a space that will define the future of infrastructure and sustainable development in the country.” This milestone reflects our commitment to building world-class solar projects that advance India’s clean energy goals while empowering communities with reliable green power. This milestone is just the beginning; we envision Ceigall playing a leading role in India’s energy transition and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.”

As an infrastructure EPC firm involved mainly in structural projects, such as elevated roads, flyovers, and bridges, Ceigall India splits its business into EPC and hybrid annuity model (HAM) projects.

The move into renewable energy highlights the strategic move of Ceigall India into high-growth areas, which adds value in the long term and strengthens its focus on sustainable growth of infrastructure against the energy transition objectives of India.
