Chirag Patel Elevated to Executive Director at SolarYaan

SolarYaan has announced the elevation of Chirag Patel to the position of Executive Director, marking an expanded leadership mandate following his tenure as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In his new role, Patel is expected to provide strategic direction and support SolarYaan’s growth, business expansion and long-term development.

Patel brings more than two decades of professional experience spanning the renewable energy, consumer electronics and telecommunications industries. His career has included leadership and business development roles with prominent companies such as Shakti Pumps (I) Ltd., Havells India Ltd., Panasonic North America, Tata Power Solar Pvt. Ltd. and Tata Docomo Business Services.

With extensive experience across solar business strategy, change management, sales and business development, Patel has built expertise in identifying growth opportunities and developing market-focused business strategies. His experience in solar business development, EPC sales and rooftop solar solutions is expected to strengthen SolarYaan’s strategic capabilities as the company looks to expand its presence in the evolving renewable energy market.

During his association with SolarYaan, Patel has been involved in driving the company’s business objectives and strengthening its market approach. His elevation to Executive Director reflects the company’s focus on experienced leadership as it pursues its next phase of growth.

In his expanded role, Patel will focus on strengthening SolarYaan’s strategic direction, building new business opportunities and supporting the company’s expansion across the solar energy value chain. His experience across multiple industries is expected to bring a broader commercial perspective to the company’s growth strategy.

The leadership transition comes at a time when India’s solar industry continues to expand rapidly, supported by increasing renewable energy investments, growing adoption of rooftop solar and rising demand for clean-energy solutions. Patel’s experience across solar sales, EPC, business development and strategic leadership positions him to contribute to SolarYaan’s ambitions in this growing market.
