Eastman Showcases Lithium Battery, ESS at Renew X Chennai

Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. (EAPL), a leading provider of power solutions, underscored its commitment to India’s energy independence at Renew X Chennai, which took place at the Chennai Trade Centre from 23rd to 25th April 2025. The company introduced its innovative Lead Acid Replacement Lithium Battery and an extensive range of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) designed for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

This unveiling emphasizes Eastman’s dedication to supporting India’s solar energy expansion with sustainable, affordable, and comprehensive solar solutions aimed at empowering consumers and accelerating the nation’s clean energy transition.

At the Eastman booth, visitors were able to explore the company’s complete suite of solar energy products, specifically tailored to meet the growing demand for efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible energy solutions across India.

Eastman’s new Lead Acid Replacement Lithium Battery, available in 100Ah and 150Ah variants, offers a smart, drop-in replacement for traditional lead-acid batteries. Designed for modern energy needs, it provides faster charging capabilities and enhanced safety with built-in multi-layer protection against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and thermal runaway. Its compact, high energy density makes it ideal for space-sensitive applications. Moreover, the battery comes with an integrated Battery Management System (BMS), allowing for real-time monitoring and diagnostics for reliable and intelligent performance.

Additionally, Eastman presented its scalable ESS lineup, with capacities ranging from 2.56 kWh to 20.48 kWh, available in wall-mounted, floor-mounted, and rack-type configurations. These systems are optimized for high efficiency, offering fast charging and long cycle life for durable, consistent performance. The ESS also supports remote monitoring through an IoT-enabled portal, providing real-time tracking of system performance and health. A key product showcased was the Grid Tie Inverter series, with capacities from 3 kW to 110 kW.

Shekhar Singal, Managing Director of Eastman Auto & Power Ltd, remarked, “We are delighted by the positive response at Renew X. Our Lead Acid Replacement Lithium Batteries, ESS solutions, and Grid Tie Inverters underscore Eastman’s commitment to driving India’s clean energy future. Our safer, greener, and more efficient solutions are helping homes and businesses reduce their carbon footprint while ensuring dependable power backup.”

With innovation and sustainability at its core, Eastman Auto & Power continues to lead the way toward a cleaner, self-reliant energy future for both India and the world.
