Emobi Manufactury Pvt. Ltd., an emerging electric two-wheeler manufacturer based in Karnataka, has deployed 100 AKX Kyari electric scooters in Bengaluru, powered by Musashi’s advanced e-axle system and battery sharing services through strong network of Honda e:Swap station by Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt. Ltd. (HEID), marking a significant step toward high battery range, high-speed, lower-cost of ownership mobility for last-mile logistics operators.
The vehicles have been manufactured for Tekinverse, which leases them to Muvnw rider-partners, under a micro-fleet model designed to create sustainable livelihood opportunities. By combining low operating costs with reliable vehicle availability, the programme allows riders to earn more while reducing dependence on fuel-intensive alternatives.
The AKX Kyari EV delivers performance on par with conventional 125cc ICE scooters. It offers an IDC range of 106 km, a top speed of 80 km/h, and acceleration from 0–60 km/h in 12 seconds; engineered for India’s demanding logistics requirements. The vehicle features a 3.7 kW Peak Motor Power, 1.5 kWh dual swappable battery packs, and a Sync Brake (Combi Brake) system for improved safety and control.
“This deployment is more than a milestone; it’s a shift toward scalable microentrepreneurship,” said Bharath Rao, CEO & Co-Founder, Emobi. “By integrating high-performance EV technology with reliable battery-swapping and strong local service, we are building an ecosystem where electric mobility becomes the most accessible, efficient, and profitable choice for every rider.”
As part of Emobi’s service framework, Tekinverse and Muvnw ensure fleet uptime through defined service-level agreements, trained maintenance engineers, and responsive roadside assistance. Emobi is also scaling its micro-factory and micro-fleet service model across metro cities, beginning with Delhi NCR, to support higher deployment volumes and upcoming product expansions.
Commenting on the collaboration, Naoya Nishimura, CEO, Musashi India and Africa Region, said: “This deployment represents the real-world impact of India-led innovation in electric mobility. Our partnership with Emobi demonstrates how localized e-axle engineering, combined with a robust battery-swapping ecosystem, can unlock dependable and high-uptime EV solutions for last-mile logistics. As India accelerates toward broader EV adoption, collaborations that integrate advanced technology with sustainable operating models will play an important role in strengthening the country’s mobility landscape.”
“HEID is deploying Battery as a Service (BaaS) using safety and robust Honda Mobile Power Pack e: (MPP) and Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: (BEX) which are derived from Honda’s long-cultivated expertise. This solution cuts charging downtime during B2B operation, lowers vehicle upfront costs by removing battery purchase, and eliminates future battery replacement worries. Combined with an automotive-grade e-axle, it’s delivering unmatched efficiency for B2B businesses on the move,” said Tomohide Haraguchi, Vice President and CTO, Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt. Ltd.
The deployment of these 100 Electric Vehicles by Emobi marks a collaborative step forward in building reliable, sustainable, and scalable mobility solutions for India’s logistics sector. As battery-swapping networks expand and localized EV technologies mature, partnerships among technology providers, manufacturers, and fleet operators will continue to shape the next phase of India’s electric mobility ecosystem.
