    EVgo and Delta Collaborate on New Charging Architecture

    EVgo and Delta Collaborate on New Charging Architecture

    A letter of intent to collaborate on the development of a “next-generation charging architecture” has been signed by Taiwanese charging station producer Delta Electronics and US fast-charging provider EVgo. The two businesses are primarily working to reduce the cost and increase the dependability of the new charging stations.

    According to EVgo and Delta Electronics, their collaborative research will leverage “advanced firmware and hardware design” to enhance customer experience, boost charger dependability, and promote cost effectiveness. The charge point operator won’t have to purchase pre-made charging stations that need to be customized later thanks to the new architecture, which should also give EVgo more control over the whole customer experience and allow it to participate in the development of the hardware and software.

    In order to enhance power distribution and energy efficiency, EVgo and Delta Electronics want to build a new architecture with a number of crucial features. EVgo’s “dynamic power distribution to the next level” is one of the goals being discussed. Since EVgo can power up to six charging stations simultaneously, it also wants to be able to use various site arrangements to suit the needs of each area. According to the two companies, this will be crucial as they concentrate on constructing larger charging stations to accommodate the increasing number of people driving electric cars.
