Ford Launches “Power Promise” to Simplify EV Charging Experience

Ford launched the “Ford Power Promise,” a new program aimed at simplifying home charging and improving assistance for EV drivers. The senior hybrid systems engineer at Ford expressed nostalgia for the heyday of full-service gas stations while describing how the current generation of electric car buyers is looking for a comparable level of comfort and assurance. This is particularly important because, according to a recent Ford survey by Mercury Analytics, nearly 90% of American consumers believe they would be more likely to purchase an EV if they knew they could charge at home.

    Simple Home Charging

Ford’s Power Promise is centered on their commitment to make installing home chargers easier. Customers who purchase an F-150 Lightning, E-Transit, or Mustang Mach-E will now be given a free home charger. This charger can be delivered and installed for free in typical installations. This product removes the uncertainty and uncertainty surrounding the cost and installation of home chargers, which is a major problem for many prospective EV purchasers.

    Driving Confidence

Beyond home charging, Ford’s Power Promise promises a flawless on-the-road charging experience. By integrating with Tesla Superchargers and Electrify America, the BlueOval Charge Network enables Ford EVs to automatically find chargers and add stations along the driver’s path.

    Battery and Support Comfort

By providing an eight-year/100,000-mile high-voltage battery warranty on all of its electric vehicles, Ford further demonstrated its dedication to battery quality. In addition, the Power Promise offers free roadside assistance in the event that a vehicle’s range is too low, as well as increased 24/7 customer assistance.
