    FuelON Batteries Gains ICAT AIS 156 Certification

    AN3 Techno Power Limited (FuelON) has secured certification of their EV 2-Wheeler Lithium Batteries as per AIS 156 Amendment III-Phase-2 by International Center of Automotive Technology (ICAT).

    FuelONIn September 2022, the Govt. of India amended the EV Battery testing standards and implemented the Amendment III of AIS-156 in a phased manner, with Phase 1 in effect from 1st Dec 2022 & Phase 2 from 1st April 2023.

    The certified batteries have undergone all safety compliances, performance tests & field trials for more than 50,000 Kms.

    Prasoon Chaudhary, Founder & Managing Director at FuelON Batteries, said last year had been a roller coaster ride for us at FuelON where we had been rigorously infusing time & capital for the establishment of our factory in parallel with the rolling EV market statistics and lastly the Govt. AIS 156 guidelines which on the one hand gave us a sign of relief and on the other side has given us the responsibility to ensure a safe & smarter EV ecosystem. Getting our batteries certified from ICAT is a key milestone of our journey and that too well in time. This also helps us to boost the confidence of our customers and users for their reliable & safer investment in FuelON.

    Pravesh Bhargava, Co-Founder & Director – Business Development said, for us at FuelON customer safety is a top priority & further receiving the certification from ICAT as per AIS 156 Amendment III Phase 2 demonstrates our commitment towards safer & smarter EV rides.

    Incorporated in April 2022, FuelON Batteries has established its state of art Lithium Battery Packs manufacturing factory in M.I.D.C. Mahape, Navi Mumbai with an annual operational capacity of 500 MWHr.

    The factory is currently manufacturing NMC & LFP Batteries for EV 2-Wheelers from 1.5 kWh till 4 kWh & LFP Batteries for EV 3-Wheelers from 2.56 kWh to 10.24 kWh.
