Genus Innovation Ltd. has unveiled its latest brand campaign, “Inverter Aisa, Lage Power Bank Jaisa,” as the company looks to change how Indian consumers perceive home power backup and energy storage.
Centred around its MaxiLion Inverter, the campaign draws a parallel between a power bank and a modern home energy storage system, highlighting the convenience of storing energy and having it readily available when required.
The campaign comes against a backdrop of changing consumer expectations. With homes becoming increasingly connected and digital dependence growing through remote work, smartphones, connected appliances and other devices, consumers are increasingly looking for products that combine performance with convenience, simplicity and intuitive design.
While several categories of consumer technology have evolved towards compact, convenient and easy-to-use products, the conventional home inverter has largely retained its traditional form and perception. Often viewed as a bulky backup appliance associated primarily with power outages and maintenance, the category has had limited evolution in terms of consumer positioning.
Through its new campaign, Genus Innovation is seeking to shift that perception by presenting energy storage as an everyday lifestyle solution rather than simply an emergency backup product.
MaxiLion positioned as a modern energy companion
The campaign uses the familiar experience of a power bank to communicate the proposition behind MaxiLion. Genus aims to highlight how a home energy storage system can provide power backup with greater ease while offering the convenience, reliability and cost-saving benefits associated with stored energy.
Yash Todi, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, Genus Innovation, said: “Consumer expectations are evolving rapidly. People no longer think of home energy products as traditional electrical equipment; they compare them with the technology they use every day. They expect products to be maintenance-free, aesthetically designed and easy to live with. MaxiLion reflects that shift, as it has been designed as an all-season product, not just a seasonal purchase. Through this campaign, we want to simplify how consumers think about energy storage solution and demonstrate that the future of power backup can be as effortless as using a power bank.”
Genus has positioned MaxiLion as an all-season product, rather than a solution consumers need to consider only during periods when power outages are more frequent. The company said the campaign is intended to build awareness around next-generation home energy storage systems and support the transition from conventional inverter systems towards lithium-based Energy Storage Systems.
MaxiLion combines an inbuilt lithium-ion battery with an inverter in a compact Energy Storage System designed for contemporary homes and commercial spaces.
According to Genus, the system brings together fast charging, a portable design and no-maintenance operation, with the company seeking to make energy storage more convenient and easier to integrate into everyday living.
The product proposition also reflects Genus Innovation’s broader focus on advancing lithium-cell-based Energy Storage Systems in India.
As renewable energy adoption expands and residential and commercial spaces become increasingly connected, the company sees energy storage becoming a more integral part of everyday energy consumption.
Genus is therefore using the campaign not only to promote MaxiLion but also to communicate a broader shift in the home power-backup category—from conventional inverter systems towards compact, lithium-based and consumer-oriented energy storage solutions.
The “Inverter Aisa, Lage Power Bank Jaisa” campaign seeks to make that transition easier for consumers to understand by using a familiar everyday technology—the power bank—as the reference point for the next generation of home energy storage.
