GoodWe has introduced their new storage solution for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) applications, the high-voltage BAT series, available in rated capacities of 102.4 kWh and 112.6 kWh. Designed for integration with GoodWe’s ET series hybrid inverters in the C&I range, the battery system currently pairs with the ET50kW model to form a one-stop 50kW/100kWh C&I solar storage solution, ideal for small to medium-sized C&I installations. The system also offers flexible scalability to match evolving energy needs and is engineered for reliable performance under harsh climatic conditions.
“Businesses are facing rising electricity costs, an urgent need for energy resilience, and setting ambitious decarbonization goals. The new BAT system is the ideal solution to these challenges, enabling companies to reduce peak demand charges, maximize solar self-consumption, and ensure uninterrupted operations during grid outages. This solution is not just a safeguard; it’s a smart business move, and we will support our customers to get the most out of their investment.”
– JIE Zhang, Managing Director of GoodWe Europe.
Focus on Safety and Long-Term Reliability
The BAT series uses high-quality, safe LiFePO₄ battery cells to deliver efficient and reliable operation. The system is kept in ideal condition due to the integrated HVAC system for cooling, heating and dehumidification. A cell temperature variance of less than 3°C is guaranteed, which is an important factor in extending battery life and ensuring consistent performance. With fast energy delivery and a life expectancy of 6000 cycles, the system is well-equipped for demanding industrial applications.
Designed for outdoor durability, the C&I BAT cabinet features a C4 corrosion resistance rating or optional C5-M rating as well as an IP55 protection rating. With a smart thermal management system, it offers strong weather resistance and can operate stably in a temperature range from -25°C to 55°C.
The layered safety concept begins at the cell level with the selection of top-brand battery cells and full electrical protection covering short-circuit, over-current and lightning, as well as insulation monitoring. Advanced safety features further enhance system reliability, such as real-time battery health tracking and AI-powered health diagnostics. In the event of an emergency, the aerosol fire suppression system on both the pack level and cabinet level can be triggered through a redundant system containing smoke and temperature detectors as well as thermistor wire.
Versatile, Flexible, and Ready for System Expansion
When paired with GoodWe’s ET 50kW hybrid inverter and integrated with a Static Transfer Switch (STS) box, the BAT forms a 50kW/100kWh C&I storage solution that supports efficient energy backup, peak shaving, and optimized load management.
This 50 kW/100 kWh storage system can also be integrated into an AC-coupled PV-plus-storage setup, such as those using GoodWe GT string inverters, offering flexibility to businesses that currently operate a pure PV system but plan to add storage in the future.
Each BAT unit supports parallel connection of up to 4 battery systems, enabling a maximum energy capacity of 450 kWh. Using the Ezlink 3000 communication device, up to 4 ET hybrid inverters can be connected in parallel, allowing the system to scale up to 200 kW/1.8 MWh. For even bigger power and storage demands, up to 10 ET inverters can be paralleled with the SEC3000C smart energy controller for a configuration of 500 kW/4.5 MWh.
The high-voltage BAT series offers a storage capacity of 102.4 kWh and 112.6 kWh, with a continuous charge rate of 0.9C and a discharge rate of 1.1C. According to GoodWe, the company is going to launch a new model of its ET series in 100 kW, fully compatible with this storage system. This pairing allows the battery to discharge close to its maximum capacity and ensures high power performance.
