    Hitachi Announces Strategic Tech Partnership with Universal Destinations & Experiences

    Hitachi Announces Strategic Tech Partnership with Universal Destinations & Experiences

    Hitachi Digital Services, a global systems integrator that powers mission-critical platforms with people and technology and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd., has announced an exciting partnership with Universal Destinations & Experiences. This partnership will provide cutting-edge digital technology solutions that are driven by sustainability to Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

    As a result of this partnership, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will choose Hitachi Digital Services as its clean technology supplier. Electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, sophisticated battery energy storage systems, all-inclusive energy management and optimization solutions, and power consultancy services created by Hitachi Energy and offered in collaboration with Hitachi are all part of Hitachi’s clean technology portfolio.

    “Hitachi Digital Services is thrilled to support Universal Destinations & Experiences as it looks for innovative ways to enhance its operation with new technology solutions,” stated Hitachi Digital Services CEO Roger Lvin. “Our unique capabilities uniting the physical and digital worlds will enable us to power transformative solutions that drive sustainability and efficiency while also enhancing the experiences of millions of theme park visitors every year.”

    “Innovation extends to every area of our business,” stated David Grimm, Senior Vice President of Business Analytics and Industrial Engineering for Universal Destinations & Experiences. “Our tech-forward partnership with Hitachi reinforces our commitment to operating sustainably as we continue to offer guests around the world the most innovative and immersive entertainment experiences.”

    Comcast By 2035, NBCUniversal wants all of its worldwide activities to be carbon neutral with regard to Scope 1 and 2 emissions. The sustainability programs of Universal Destinations & Experiences are centered on resource conservation, waste reduction and recycling, renewable energy, and optimizing energy efficiency.
