Piyush Sharma

Global solar and energy storage solutions provider Hoymiles has promoted Piyush Sharma to the position of Country Head – India, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy markets.

Sharma has played a key role in Hoymiles’ growth journey in India since joining the company. During his tenure, he helped strengthen the company’s channel partner network, build a high-performing local team, and expand its market footprint. His leadership and customer-focused approach have contributed significantly to establishing Hoymiles as a trusted provider of solar and storage solutions in the country.

In his new role, Sharma will oversee Hoymiles’ India operations, leading strategic business expansion, strengthening relationships with partners and customers, broadening the company’s market reach, and accelerating the adoption of advanced solar technologies across the Indian renewable energy sector. The appointment comes as demand for distributed solar, rooftop installations, and energy storage solutions continues to rise across the country.

The leadership transition also reflects Hoymiles’ long-term strategy for the Indian market, where the company aims to support the country’s clean energy ambitions through innovative products, localized support, and stronger industry partnerships. The company has been actively expanding its presence in India through its portfolio of microinverters and energy storage solutions, serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Earlier this year, Hoymiles strengthened its position in the Indian market by securing a landmark 360 MW microinverter supply agreement with KOSOL Energie, described by the company as the largest microinverter deal in India. The latest leadership appointment is expected to further support the company’s growth strategy as it seeks to capitalize on increasing investments in solar power and energy storage across the country.
