IIT Kanpur, Zynetic Collaborate to Enhance EV Charging Technology

Zynetic Electric Vehicles Charging Private Limited, a business engaged in the construction, management, and operation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK). The goal of this collaboration is to help develop and implement cutting-edge AC and DC fast chargers for EVs, which will help India’s EV infrastructure grow.

Zynetic is dedicated to developing high-performance, environmentally friendly charging solutions for the EV market. By developing EV infrastructure, Zynetic, which specializes in EV charging systems, hopes to support India’s transition to sustainable energy sources.

In order to address important issues in EV charging technology, IIT Kanpur and Zynetic intend to work together on research, academic exchange, and consulting through this Memorandum of Understanding. Power electronics, embedded systems, and combining machine learning and artificial intelligence for predictive maintenance will be the key areas of interest. The partnership aims to create dependable and effective next-generation EV chargers to satisfy the demands of India’s expanding EV market by fusing Zynetic’s industrial experience with IIT Kanpur’s research capabilities.

“Our collaboration with Zynetic is a prime example of how academia and industry can collaborate to improve EV infrastructure and support India’s environmental objectives,” said Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur. “A wide network of charging stations is necessary to meet the government’s target of 30% EV adoption for new private car registrations by 2030. IIT Kanpur is able to support sustainable practices and India’s energy goals because to this partnership.”

This collaboration demonstrates how IIT Kanpur and Zynetic have similar objectives in advancing EV infrastructure and technology. The objective of this collaboration is to significantly influence the development of EV technology and infrastructure in India by pooling resources, knowledge, and research.
