    Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – August 20: Indo-National, CLN Energy Lead Gains

    Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – August 20

    Battery and green energy shares had a mixed showing on August 20, 2025, as some counters extended gains and others slipped into negative territory. The session was predominantly led by Indo-National Ltd, which gained 1.97% to ₹478.65, making it the top gainer for battery stocks on the day.

    Second place went to CLN Energy Ltd with a 1.85% gain to ₹524 as well, with High Energy Batteries up 1.24% to ₹624.4, showing sustained investor interest in long-duration storage plays. Exide Industries also managed to gain 0.89% to ₹396.3 and Tata Power closed slightly higher at ₹390.55 (+0.36%).

    Eveready Industries India Ltd managed a gain of 0.15% to ₹438.75 and HBL Engineering Ltd gained 0.27% to ₹791.95, consolidating their recent upward trends.

    On the way down, Waaree Technologies lost the most ground, losing 1.83% to ₹292.2; next in line was Panasonic Energy India and Amara Raja Energy which lost 0.25% and 0.23% to close at ₹343.85 and ₹988.2 respectively.

    While the mixed showing can induce negative sentiment in the sector, the structural drivers at play continue; analysts point to rising EV penetration coupled with clean energy investing and the ongoing trend of storage inventions as growth themes fuelling long-term bullish sentiment.
