Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – August 29

Battery and energy storage stocks in India reflected a mixed trading session on July 7, with notable gains from CLN Energy Ltd. and High Energy Batteries, while players like Waaree Technologies and Eveready Industries saw declines. The market continues to weigh sector fundamentals, Q2 projections, and global material cost trends.

CLN Energy Ltd. surged by 5.00% to close at ₹582.75, rebounding sharply after a flat session on July 4. The stock appears to be gaining momentum as investor interest rises around its mid-size energy storage projects and grid-aligned deployments.

High Energy Batteries continued its bullish run with a 1.99% gain to ₹792.7, supported by long-term visibility from defense contracts and new cell chemistries under development. HBL Engineering Ltd. posted a moderate gain of 1.01% (₹636.8), regaining strength after last week’s dip.

On the downside, Waaree Technologies recorded the steepest drop of the day at -3.19%, closing at ₹288.2, as traders booked profits after last week’s rally. Eveready Industries and Indo-National Ltd. also corrected mildly by -1.79% and -0.80% respectively, hinting at short-term consolidation.

Legacy players Amara Raja Energy and Panasonic Energy India saw marginal losses, while Exide Industries and Tata Power held steady with minor upticks.

As India continues to scale domestic manufacturing under the PLI scheme and gears up for gigafactory expansion, the sector remains on investor radar for long-term plays in clean energy, battery recycling, and energy storage.
