Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – September 29

Battery and clean energy stocks counters witnessed a largely upbeat trading session on August 13, 2025, with plenty of follow-through from the big movers of the day being HBL Engineering Ltd., Indo-National Ltd., and Eveready Industries India Ltd., as well as a little limited downside on some names like High Energy Batteries and Panasonic Energy India falling moderately.

HBL Engineering Ltd. was clearly the big winner of the day with a 10.32% rally to ₹763.4 on the day with major buying interest and speculation around potentially large supply contracts coming in the energy storage space. Indo-National Ltd. also impressed, advancing 2.89% to ₹483.1, supported by healthy volumes. Eveready Industries India Ltd. added 2.56% to ₹416.8, riding on expectations of expansion in its battery segment.

Other noteworthy winners were CLN Energy Ltd. and Waaree Technologies, which both climbed 1.99%, to close at ₹516.7 and ₹310.1 respectively. Tata Power was marginally better by 0.72%, at ₹387.2, while Amara Raja Energy, remained muted but was stable, closing 0.27% stronger at ₹957.95.

On the flip side, High Energy Batteries dipped 0.48% to revisit ₹621.95 during profit booking; meanwhile, Panasonic Energy India reported down 0.18% to ₹335.35 and Exide Industries very marginally closed on the downside with 0.19% at ₹375.7.

As was the case last week’s rupee, the consensus attitude across the green and battery space does not seem to be much different than before, if anything with plentiful future policy supporting trends, the maturation of ‘made in India’ domestic manufacturing capabilities and capacity expansion in the home, and the speeding up transition change over to renewable-linked energy storage – both on site/off site or in India.
