Kazam Partners with HPCL to Expand India’s Public EV Charging Network

Kazam, India’s leading EV energy solutions provider, has announced a significant partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) to accelerate the expansion of public EV charging access across the country. Through this collaboration, over 5,350 HPCL EV chargers—including 3,043 DC fast chargers strategically located along highways, major cities, and key retail outlets—have been integrated into the Kazam app via its OCPI-powered platform.

This integration will give the EV users across the nation of India access to locate, browse, and navigate HPCL expanding charging network in real-time and make EV charging more convenient than ever before. Another initiative by the Government of India is PM eDrive, and it is through this scheme that HPCL, with more than 24,000 fuel retail stores, is quickly growing its EV charging infrastructure, which demonstrates its ability to decarbonize its movement and assist India in realizing sustainable transportation.

“Kazam’s OCPI platform will ensure seamless aggregation and real-time visibility of HPCL chargers, enabling EV users to discover, navigate, and charge at HPCL stations effortlessly. This partnership will enhance India’s public EV charging ecosystem. It marks a decisive step in the country’s transition to sustainable mobility, uniting one of India’s largest energy companies with one of its fastest-growing EV innovators,” said Paras Shah, COO of Kazam.

Kushal Kumar Banerjee, Chief General Manager at HPCL, India, added, “Partnering with Kazam is a key step in expanding India’s EV charging ecosystem. By using Kazam’s innovative platform, we can provide EV users with easier access, reliable operations, and a seamless charging experience. This partnership demonstrates HPCL’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions in transportation, supporting the Government of India’s PM eDrive initiative, and accelerating the adoption of clean and sustainable transport. Together, we aim to make EV charging accessible, convenient, and user-friendly, helping to build a greener and smarter future for India’s transportation sector.”

In addition to superior visibility

The OCPI platform by Kazam provides basic compatibility with various charging standards and superior backend control of charge point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs), which ensures a stable operation and scalable development.
