KP Group Appoints Rajesh Shrivastava as New Executive Director

KP Group, an integrated renewable energy and infrastructure conglomerate, has appointed Rajesh Shrivastava as its new executive director. This leadership addition arrives at a vital moment as the company moves to fast-track its expansion and scaling goals across the renewable energy sector.

An Illustrious 37-Year Career

Shrivastava brings nearly forty years of deep expertise across the power, infrastructure, EPC, and renewable energy domains. Throughout his 37-year career, he has been involved with over 30 GW of power projects spanning both conventional and renewable systems, which include more than 10 GW of renewable energy projects currently being developed and executed.

Before stepping into his new role at KP Group, Shrivastava was the President & Business Head of Renewable Energy Development at Reliance New Energy. In that role, he was instrumental in shaping the planning and execution strategy for a massive renewable energy hub in Kutch, designed to encompass a 150 GWp solar capacity alongside battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Before that, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at Aditya Birla Renewables, where he successfully expanded the firm’s renewable portfolio from 645 MW to more than 3.2 GW in just two years while also steering the Group’s broader decarbonisation roadmap. Additionally, during his time as the Chief Operating Officer at Adani Green Energy, Shrivastava managed the construction of a massive hybrid renewable energy facility during the pandemic, delivering roughly 2.3 GW of solar and 760 MW of wind capacity at a single site.

Academic and Global Recognition

An accomplished academic, Shrivastava is a gold medallist in Civil Engineering, holds an M.Tech. in Structures from IIT Mumbai, and completed executive management credentials at INSEAD Singapore. He was also named among the Top 15 Global Leaders by Japan’s Toshiba Corporation in recognition of his leadership impact.

Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman & Managing Director, KP Group, “We are delighted to welcome Mr. Rajesh Shrivastava to KP Group. His unparalleled experience in renewable energy, EPC execution, large-scale infrastructure development, and organisational leadership aligns perfectly with our long-term vision. As KP Group enters its next phase of transformational growth, Rajesh ji’s leadership, strategic mindset, and execution capabilities will play a crucial role in strengthening our position as one of India’s most integrated and future-ready renewable energy groups.”

Rajesh Shrivastava, Executive Director, KP Group, said, “I am excited to join KP Group at such a dynamic and transformative stage in its journey. The Group has built a strong reputation for innovation, execution excellence, and commitment towards India’s renewable energy ambitions. I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, technological innovation, and long-term value creation.”
