KPI Green Energy Energizes Record 630 MW DC

KPI Green Energy has achieved a major milestone by energizing more than 630 MW DC of renewable energy capacity during the three months from June to August, marking the highest quarterly capacity addition achieved by the company since its inception.

The company said the capacity was energised across both its Independent Power Producer (IPP) and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) businesses. The achievement highlights the scale of KPI Green Energy’s project execution capabilities and reflects its efforts to accelerate the development and commissioning of renewable energy projects.

The latest milestone is particularly significant considering the company had an overall energized capacity of around 533 MW across its IPP and EPC segments as of December 2024. In other words, KPI Green Energy has energised more capacity in a single three-month period than the cumulative capacity it had achieved during roughly its first 17 years of operations through December 2024.

The company’s latest performance includes a diversified portfolio of IPP assets as well as renewable energy projects executed through its EPC business. The strong pace of commissioning demonstrates KPI Green Energy’s ability to manage multiple projects and bring new renewable capacity online within a relatively short timeframe.

The achievement also supports the company’s long-term expansion plans and its contribution towards the KP Group’s broader target of developing more than 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. KPI Green Energy is seeking to scale its generation and project execution capabilities in line with this larger ambition.

Following the announcement, KPI Green Energy’s shares were trading at ₹320.60 on the BSE, gaining ₹1.35, or 0.42%, from the previous close of ₹319.25. The stock opened at ₹321.15 and touched an intraday high of ₹323.50 and a low of ₹319.00. Around 20,138 shares were traded on the exchange.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of ₹5, has recorded a 52-week high of ₹541.90, reached on November 3, 2025, and a 52-week low of ₹302.00 on August 19, 2026. Over the past week, the stock has traded between ₹305.85 and ₹324.00.

KPI Green Energy’s current market capitalisation stands at approximately ₹6,348.24 crore. The company’s promoter holding is 49.40%, while institutional investors hold 8.81% and non-institutional investors account for 41.79%.

The record quarterly commissioning comes at a time when India is rapidly expanding its renewable energy capacity to meet rising electricity demand and reduce dependence on conventional sources. Faster project execution and timely commissioning are becoming increasingly important as developers seek to capitalise on growing demand for clean power.

KPI Green Energy’s latest achievement strengthens its position as a rapidly expanding renewable energy platform. The company’s ability to energise more than 630 MW DC across IPP and EPC projects within three months represents a significant acceleration in its execution track record.

With a growing project pipeline and the broader KP Group targeting more than 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, the company is expected to remain focused on scaling its renewable energy assets and expanding its project execution capabilities in the years ahead.
