Kshema Power Secures ₹108 Crore Contract for 400 kV Transmission Line in Andhra Pradesh

Kshema Power is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm based in Chennai that has been awarded a Rs.108 crore contract to construct a 400 kV transmission line in Andhra Pradesh. The project is the development of a 42 kilometres line within the Ananthapuram district to evacuate electricity generated in a 1 GW wind farm to improve the infrastructure of renewable energy in the region.

The installation will consist of a single circuit on double-circuit towers, which will provide efficient and reliable power transfer. The project will be Kshema Power’s first venture back into high-voltage transmission and underscore its support of the renewable energy projects in India.

Commenting on the project, Dr. Sateesh Basant, Managing Director of Kshema Power, said, “We are happy to have this landmark project, which not only marks our re-entry into the high-voltage transmission segment but also reinforces our commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure in India. This achievement paves the way for significant growth at Kshema Power and will create new employment opportunities, contributing positively to both industry and society. We look forward to delivering this project with excellence and building on more such opportunities in the future.”

The whole project cycle, which involves design approval, material procurement, civil construction, tower erection, regulatory clearance, the testing process, and final commissioning, will be done by Kshema Power. Experienced teams will be used to make sure that the execution of all the work is efficient and, at the same time the highest safety and quality of work are guaranteed.

The transmission line project is one of the crucial steps in enhancing the connection of renewable energy in Andhra Pradesh and highlights the growing influence of Kshema Power in the Indian sustainable energy market.
