In a significant move to strengthen its battery energy storage manufacturing capabilities, Lineage Power Pvt. Ltd., the material subsidiary of Pace Digitek Limited, has signed a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with China’s Rongjie Energy Technology Co. Ltd. Under the agreement, Rongjie Energy Tech will supply 3 GWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, supporting Lineage Power’s growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business across utility-scale and commercial & industrial applications.
The agreement marks an important step in enhancing Lineage Power’s long-term battery cell sourcing strategy as demand for energy storage solutions continues to rise in India and global markets. The partnership is expected to improve supply chain stability while strengthening the company’s project execution capabilities.
Under the agreement, Rongjie Energy Tech will supply 3 GWh of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery cells and related accessories to Lineage Power. The agreement represents a significant step in strengthening the company’s battery cell sourcing framework and supports its expanding Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing platform and execution capabilities across utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications.
The partnership also establishes a long-term operational framework covering pricing, quality standards, warranties and delivery timelines, ensuring greater visibility and predictability across the supply chain.
The agreement will leverage Rongjie Energy Tech’s manufacturing base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, enabling efficient logistics and supply of battery cells to India and international markets.
Additionally, the collaboration creates a framework for technical cooperation, product validation, quality assurance and continuous product improvement, aimed at enhancing the performance and reliability of Lineage Power’s energy storage solutions.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman & Managing Director, Pace Digitek Limited, said that securing a reliable long-term supply of high-quality battery cells is fundamental to building a scalable and resilient BESS platform. He added that the agreement strengthens the company’s manufacturing ecosystem, enhances supply chain visibility and reinforces its ability to execute utility-scale and C&I BESS projects with greater confidence.
He further noted that following a comprehensive technical and commercial evaluation, Rongjie Energy Tech’s manufacturing capabilities, product quality and technology roadmap were found to be well aligned with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
