Luminous Power Technologies Bets Big on Odisha with Investments in Solar and Energy Storage Manufacturing

Luminous Power Technologies, India’s leading consumer fulfilment company, reaffirmed its commitment to Odisha during a high-profile government event in Khordha.  The company is showcasing its advanced energy solutions while highlighting its growing manufacturing footprint in eastern India and its contribution to the country’s clean energy transition.

Luminous’ participation underscores its strategic focus on Odisha as a high-potential hub for solar manufacturing, renewable energy innovation, and industrial growth. Backed by progressive state policies, strengthening infrastructure, and an increased focus on clean energy adoption, Odisha plays a central role in Luminous’ long-term growth and manufacturing strategy.

Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Abrol, CEO & MD, Luminous Power Technologies, said, “Odisha represents a strategically important market for Luminous not only as a manufacturing base but also as a gateway to India’s expanding clean energy ecosystem. With strong policy support and growing investments, the state is playing an increasingly prominent role in India’s industrial and energy landscape. Our continued investments here reflect our commitment to supporting the country’s clean energy ambitions while contributing to local economic growth and resilient energy infrastructure.”

Over the past few years, Luminous has made significant investments in Odisha, with two major manufacturing facilities coming up in the state. Angul, where Luminous is setting up a new, advanced energy storage and manufacturing plant, focused on next‑generation energy storage solutions and modern manufacturing technologies. In addition, Luminous is setting up a solar cell manufacturing plant in Gopalpur to strengthen India’s domestic solar value chain and support the nation’s renewable energy ambitions. Both facilities are in advanced stages of development and are expected to become operational soon, marking an important milestone in Luminous’s manufacturing expansion in India.

At Khordha, Luminous showcased its end-to-end solar solutions, including advanced solar technologies designed to meet the needs of residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The company’s widest range of solutions includes on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid, tailored to diverse energy requirements across sectors. The future-ready product lineup features Topcon bifacial solar panels, high-performance inverters, long-lasting batteries, and the smart Connect X monitoring app. The display highlights the company’s focus on innovation, reliability, and sustainability.

With its upcoming plants at Gopalpur and Angul, Luminous aims to support local employment, skill development, and industrial growth, while contributing meaningfully to India’s renewable energy ecosystem and larger energy transition goals. As India accelerates its transition to a low-carbon economy, eastern India is set to play a pivotal role. Luminous continues to align its growth strategy with national priorities, delivering scalable, future-ready energy solutions that support industrial progress, energy security, and long-term sustainability.
