Amid rising demand for balcony solar systems in Germany, Sunshare presented its latest products at the 2026 Jahresauftakt des Bundesverbands Steckersolar. The company showcased Sunshare Ray, a balcony solar system, and Sunshare Glory, a home energy storage solution. These offerings are designed to help households increase energy independence, reduce electricity costs, and meet the growing need for clean, affordable power.
Sunshare Ray is engineered for easy installation and everyday use, combining high-efficiency PV modules with over 25% conversion efficiency and a bracket system compatible with around 90% of balcony types. Optional angle adjustments allow homeowners to optimize sunlight capture and achieve 25–30% higher annual energy yield. Its lightweight, compact design enables one-person, DIY installation, and the system comes 95% pre-assembled. On the DC side, panels are connected in parallel to maintain low operating voltage, and a plug-and-play junction allows fast, one-click connections from panel to panel and to storage. Built for long-term outdoor performance, Ray meets mechanical stability, wind, and hail resistance standards, ensuring durability and safety.
The Sunshare Glory energy storage system uses proprietary eXtraSolid™ technology and automotive-grade semi-solid battery cells, enhancing safety and reducing the risk of thermal runaway. The full-metal enclosure, intelligent battery management system, and active fire protection deliver a reliable, long-term storage solution. Glory supports more than 8,000 charge cycles and offers modular capacity expansion from 1.5 kWh to 12 kWh, meeting a wide range of household energy requirements. It can operate both on-grid and off-grid, providing backup power during outages and ensuring uninterrupted household electricity supply.
An integrated Energy Management System (EMS) allows smart load management and prioritizes solar self-consumption. Through the Sunshare app, users can monitor energy generation, consumption, and storage status in real time, giving them full control over their energy usage.
With these innovations, Sunshare aims to make solar energy more accessible, reliable, and affordable for urban households while contributing to Germany’s clean energy and sustainability goals.
