Jindal Power Limited has announced the elevation of Mohd. Razik Sheikh to the position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) & Head – Procurement & Contracts, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey and recognizing his long-standing contributions to the organization and the broader industrial sector.

The promotion reflects a distinguished career built over years of experience across leading companies in the power, steel, and automotive industries. Throughout his professional journey, Mohd. Razik Sheikh has worked with reputed organizations including Jindal Power Limited, Viraj Profiles Pvt Ltd, Jindal Stainless, Vardhman Special Steels Limited, Sunflag Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., and Tata Motors. His diverse exposure across these industry leaders has helped him develop a strong foundation in procurement operations, contract management, and supply chain optimization.

Over the years, he has built deep expertise in procurement strategy, vendor development, SAP-based procurement systems, and large-scale industrial sourcing. His experience also includes managing both capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) procurement, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance standards. In addition, he has played a key role in global sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, inventory management, and cross-functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

His steady rise from Purchase Officer to Assistant General Manager is a reflection of his strong leadership abilities, commercial acumen, and consistent performance in handling complex procurement environments. He has demonstrated the ability to streamline procurement processes, improve vendor relationships, and contribute to operational efficiency in highly competitive and capital-intensive industries.

In his new role as AGM & Head – Procurement & Contracts at Jindal Power Limited, Mohd. Razik Sheikh will be responsible for leading the company’s procurement strategy and contract management functions. His role will involve optimizing sourcing strategies, strengthening vendor partnerships, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and driving cost-effective procurement solutions aligned with the company’s operational goals. He will also focus on enhancing transparency, efficiency, and value creation across procurement and contract processes.
