Mouser Stocks Carlo Gavazzi DCM1 DC Energy Meters

Mouser Electronics is now stocking the DCM1 DC energy meters with Ethernet from Carlo Gavazzi. The DCM1 Series is designed to meet the growing demand for DC metering requirements in fast, ultra-fast, and hyper-fast chargers for electric vehicles (EVs). The DC energy meters, which allow for accurate monitoring and billing in EV charging stations and battery energy storage systems, can also provide power analysis capabilities for DC systems in microgrids and other energy-efficient applications.

The Carlo Gavazzi DCM1 DC energy meters with Ethernet, now available at Mouser, are direct-connection devices for DC systems up to 1000V and 600A. The DCM1 energy meters display information about the specific charging session while receiving and processing start/stop session commands. The DC energy meters feature a transducer for voltage and current connection, as well as a display unit with RS485 Modbus RTU and Ethernet Modbus TCP communication ports. A cable linked to the transducer connects the two components for quick and easy installation. The DCM1 energy meters are installed on the DC side, compatible with most DC chargers, and support horizontal and vertical mounting. A cable loss management function ensures the DC energy meters only consider energy supplied to the vehicle and remove losses caused by cable resistance.

The DCM1 DC energy meters provide automatic alerts in case of overtemperature, overcurrent, or overvoltage for safe and reliable performance. Secure and signed data transmission to the controller guarantees data authenticity, and the display updates automatically to show information relevant to the charging session. The DCM1 energy meters are tamper-proof with sealable measuring inputs and communication ports. The DCM1 Series is CE, cURus, MID, LNE (pending), Eichrecht, and CTEP compliant.
