NTPC REL Invites Bids for 110 MW Khavda Wind Project BOS Package

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited domestic competitive bids for the Balance of System (BOS) package of its 110 MW wind energy project at Khavda, Gujarat. The tender represents another important milestone in the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure within the Khavda renewable energy zone, one of India’s largest clean energy hubs.

The selected bidder will be responsible for the complete scope of work, including the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of electrical and civil infrastructure for the wind energy project. The work also includes detailed surveys, design and construction of 33 kV overhead transmission lines, associated road works and development of internal access roads to facilitate project execution and future operation and maintenance activities.

The contractor will also be responsible for the installation and commissioning of the 33 kV overhead transmission network that connects the wind turbine generators to the pooling substation. The scope of work also includes design of redundant Master Power Plant Controllers (PPCs), grid code compliance studies, and installation of Static Var Generators (SVGs) and harmonic filters for grid integration stably and reliably.

As per the tender schedule, the bid documents are available for download from July 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM IST until July 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM IST. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM IST, while bidders may submit their queries until 5:00 PM IST on the same day. The deadline for the online submission of both techno-commercial and price bids is August 10, 2026, before 3:00 PM IST. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on August 10, 2026, at 3:30 PM IST.

Interested bidders have to place an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 50 lakh for the bidding process. The Bid Security can be submitted in a separate sealed envelope or by electronic fund transfer with proof of payment. Bids not accompanied by the prescribed EMD shall be treated as non-responsive and shall be rejected, NTPC REL has said. Information regarding the Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) is provided in the detailed bidding documents available on the e-tender portal.

To be eligible, bidders must have completed the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of at least 25 kilometres of 33 kV or higher overhead transmission lines within the last seven years, with the completed works having been in successful operation for a minimum period of one year. On the financial side, bidders must have recorded an average annual turnover of at least INR 407.8 lakh during the preceding three financial years and possess a net worth equivalent to or greater than 100 percent of their paid-up share capital.
