NTPC Renewable Energy Floats EPC Tender for 300 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited bids for the development of a 300 MW (1×300 MW) grid-connected solar PV project near Nokhra, Rajasthan, as part of its ongoing renewable energy expansion plans.

The project will be developed under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract and will comprise a single 300 MW solar block equipped with tracker-based module mounting structures, solar PV modules, inverter systems, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, weather monitoring systems, CCTV surveillance, and associated civil and electrical infrastructure.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant, along with power evacuation infrastructure up to the owner’s 33 kV pooling substation. The selected contractor will also be responsible for module cleaning systems, internal roads, drainage works, dynamic reactive power compensation systems, mandatory spares, and three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance services following commissioning.

The bidding process is currently open to eligible companies with experience in solar power development, renewable energy projects, and large-scale EPC execution. Interested bidders can submit their proposals until June 22, 2026, while the pre-bid conference and the deadline for submitting queries have been scheduled for June 12, 2026.

Located in Rajasthan, one of India’s leading solar energy states, the 300 MW project is expected to contribute significantly to the country’s renewable energy generation capacity. The initiative aligns with NREL’s broader strategy of accelerating the deployment of utility-scale solar projects and supporting India’s transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

NTPC Limited is India’s largest integrated power utility and a leading energy company engaged in the generation, transmission, and sale of electricity. Established in 1975 and headquartered in New Delhi, NTPC operates a diverse portfolio that includes coal, gas, hydro, solar, and wind power projects. The company plays a key role in meeting India’s growing energy demand while advancing the country’s clean energy transition.

Through its renewable energy arm, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, NTPC is expanding its presence in solar, wind, green hydrogen, and energy storage projects, supporting India’s long-term sustainability and net-zero ambitions. As one of the country’s largest power producers, NTPC continues to drive innovation, energy security, and infrastructure development across the power sector.
