NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited bids for the development of a 300 MW (1×300 MW) grid-connected solar PV project near Nokhra, Rajasthan, as part of its ongoing renewable energy expansion plans.
The project will be developed under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract and will comprise a single 300 MW solar block equipped with tracker-based module mounting structures, solar PV modules, inverter systems, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, weather monitoring systems, CCTV surveillance, and associated civil and electrical infrastructure.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant, along with power evacuation infrastructure up to the owner’s 33 kV pooling substation. The selected contractor will also be responsible for module cleaning systems, internal roads, drainage works, dynamic reactive power compensation systems, mandatory spares, and three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance services following commissioning.
The bidding process is currently open to eligible companies with experience in solar power development, renewable energy projects, and large-scale EPC execution. Interested bidders can submit their proposals until June 22, 2026, while the pre-bid conference and the deadline for submitting queries have been scheduled for June 12, 2026.
Located in Rajasthan, one of India’s leading solar energy states, the 300 MW project is expected to contribute significantly to the country’s renewable energy generation capacity. The initiative aligns with NREL’s broader strategy of accelerating the deployment of utility-scale solar projects and supporting India’s transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
