NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd, has successfully achieved full commissioning of its 150 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Gujarat. Developed in three phases under Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd’s (GUVNL) 500 MW solar tender, the final 60 MW at Radhanpur was declared operational on April 16, 2025, and officially certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on April 30.
The earlier phases at Limbdi and Mesanka became commercially operational in December 2024. The entire project was executed under an EPC contract with Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd, aligning with NTPC’s strategy of collaborating with high-quality partners for efficient and timely project delivery.
This installation adds substantial capacity to NTPC Group’s total, which stood at 76,560.68 MW as of December 2024, and contributes significantly to Gujarat’s renewable energy infrastructure. The project reinforces NTPC’s mission to reach 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032, supporting India’s national objectives for a greener, more sustainable energy future.
The commissioning also reflects NTPC’s expertise in seamless project execution and its growing role in India’s clean energy landscape, especially in high solar potential states like Gujarat.
NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd, is spearheading NTPC’s ambitious clean energy expansion.
