Octillion Deepens Partnership with Vision Marine to Power Next‑Gen EV Boats from Nevada Facility

The world-renowned California-based Octillion Power Systems, a supplier of cutting-edge high-density lithium-ion battery packs for all kinds of electric vehicles, announced that it has extended its collaboration with Vision Marine Technologies Inc. to include the production of high-voltage lithium-ion battery packs for their marine propulsion systems from Octillion’s manufacturing facility in Reno, Nevada.

The deal states that Octillion will produce Vision-branded battery packs for their E-MotionTM 180E electric outboard system, solely for distribution in the United States. They are thought to be the first battery packs designed specifically for electric marine propulsion. They are made to withstand the harsh conditions of the sea and offer high energy density, durability, and ease of integration, which makes them ideal for both commercial and recreational marine use.

“As Vision accelerates its growth in the U.S. market, we’re excited to power their next chapter in performance electric boating by providing our battery technology and manufacturing expertise, producing from our Nevada facility,” stated Paul Beach, Global President of Octillion. “Our past collaborations included setting multiple electric world speed boat records, which demonstrated that high-performance engineering is in our collective DNA.”

Vision will benefit from quick and affordable production and distribution, a safe and dependable U.S. battery supply chain, and Octillion’s renowned quality standards, which have been used to field more than 2 million battery systems in the company’s 16 years of operation, by leveraging Octillion’s leadership in battery technology. Additionally, significant technological advancements from their present product line—such as greater power, longer range, simplicity of integration, and overall performance—will be transferred to the new Vision-branded battery systems.

“Octillion is a world-class battery systems partner. From past collaborations, we’ve seen firsthand their ability to deliver on what matters most: integrity, quality, performance, and cost,” stated Alexandre Mongeon, CEO of Vision Marine Technologies. “Expanding our partnership provides direct access to Octillion’s cutting-edge battery innovations. Manufacturing in Reno, Nevada further enables us to scale faster via a centrally located supply chain, ease of OEM integration, and in bringing our E-Motion™ electric outboard systems to a substantial consumer market in the States.”

With 11 manufacturing facilities across the United States, India, and China—and its strong foundation in the Bay Area—Octillion stands at the forefront of the global transition to clean energy in electric transportation and energy storage systems of various types. As a trusted partner in large-scale battery electrification projects, Octillion continues to power the future of electric transportation worldwide with their commitment to providing clients with Purpose Built Power™.
