OpenSolar has announced the appointment of Rohit Pandita as Country Director – India & New Markets, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint across India and accelerating growth in emerging renewable energy markets.

OpenSolar is strengthening its presence in key regions and supporting the adoption of digital solar solutions. With India emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing solar markets, the company is focusing on building stronger industry partnerships and expanding access to innovative technologies that can streamline solar project development and deployment.

Rohit Pandita brings extensive experience in the renewable energy and solar sector, having worked with some of the industry’s leading organizations. Over the course of his career, he has developed expertise in business development, market expansion, strategic partnerships, customer engagement, and clean energy solutions. His deep understanding of the solar ecosystem is expected to play a crucial role in advancing OpenSolar’s growth ambitions.

Before joining OpenSolar, Pandita held leadership positions at Adani Solar, Adani Group, and Trinasolar. During his tenure with these organizations, he contributed significantly to solar market development, customer acquisition strategies, and the implementation of large-scale renewable energy initiatives. His experience spans both the manufacturing and project development sides of the industry, providing him with a comprehensive perspective on market dynamics and customer requirements.

In his new role, Pandita will be responsible for leading OpenSolar’s growth strategy across India and other emerging markets. His key responsibilities will include expanding the company’s market presence, fostering strategic partnerships, strengthening relationships with stakeholders, and supporting the adoption of advanced solar technology solutions. He will also work closely with industry participants to drive greater efficiency and accessibility in solar project planning and execution.

The appointment reflects OpenSolar’s broader strategy of strengthening its leadership team with experienced professionals who possess deep industry knowledge and a strong understanding of regional market opportunities. As governments and businesses continue to accelerate investments in renewable energy, OpenSolar aims to leverage digital innovation to help scale solar adoption and support the global clean energy transition.

With Pandita at the helm of its India and new markets operations, OpenSolar is well-positioned to capitalize on growing demand for solar solutions and contribute to the development of a more sustainable energy future.
