Orange EV, a leading manufacturer of electric terminal trucks, has introduced an industry-leading 7.5-year warranty covering the battery, powertrain, and electric components. This comprehensive coverage provides fleets with long-term financial and operational benefits by ensuring reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and enhancing the lifespan of electric terminal trucks. The extended warranty underscores Orange EV’s commitment to advancing sustainable transportation and supporting fleet operators in transitioning to electric vehicles with confidence.

Orange EV has set a new industry standard by extending its warranty coverage to 7.5 years or 30,000 hours, far surpassing the common terminal truck warranties that typically last only 1–2 years or 6,000 hours. This move points up the company’s confidence in the durability and reliability of its electric terminal trucks, backed by nearly a decade of real-world performance. Since 2015, Orange EV trucks have collectively logged nearly 8 million miles, with individual trucks surpassing 30,000 hours of operation—outlasting the typical lifespan of many diesel yard trucks. This extended warranty further reinforces Orange EV’s commitment to providing long-term financial and operational benefits to fleet operators.

“Delivering the highest quality terminal trucks has always been our priority,” stated Kurt Neutgens, President and CTO of Orange EV. “Our new warranty isn’t just an extension of coverage, it’s a testament to our track record and a commitment to fleets that uptime, cost savings, and long-term performance are built into every truck.”

Orange EV’s 7.5-year extended warranty coverage spans critical systems including the powertrain, motors, controllers, wire harnesses, cables, and key electric components. With Orange EV, fleets secure:

    • Lower Cost of Ownership – Eliminates unexpected repair costs, ensures predictable budgeting, and provides coverage and savings well beyond the payback period
    • Improved Operational Efficiency – Increased uptime and fewer repairs minimize disruptions to operations
    • Stronger Financial Position – Extended depreciation life, increased residual value, and a transferrable warranty
    • Proven Reliability – Trucks that average 97%+ uptime over 8 million operational hours, now backed by the most extensive warranty in the terminal truck market

Reliability and cost savings drive fleet decision-making and Orange EV delivers. With a track record unmatched by any terminal truck manufacturer, electric or diesel, an estimated $500k+ in total savings over 10 years, and an industry-best 7.5-year warranty, fleets can invest with confidence in performance that lasts.
