PCBL Chemical has appointed Vaneet Kumar as its Chief & Executive Director – Battery, a strategic move that strengthens the company’s expansion into advanced battery technologies, energy storage systems, and next-generation mobility solutions. Kumar brings more than two decades of specialized experience in the electric mobility and battery sectors, with a career defined by driving product innovation, leading global teams, and developing cutting-edge energy storage technologies across international markets.

Before this new role at PCBL Chemical, Kumar was Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer – Battery at Adani New Industries Ltd, where he spearheaded battery development for clean energy and storage solutions. Prior to this, he was with SVOLT Energy Technology for almost a decade, where he held several international leadership positions in India, Europe, and China, leading global project deployments, R&D operations and customer business units for battery development.

In the early part of his career, he was Chief Engineer – Battery System Design at Great Wall Motors, leading the design and engineering of the battery systems for the electric vehicles. He was also previously with the Adani Group as Vice President – Battery Technology, where he was involved in early-stage battery and energy storage programmes. His core automotive and battery engineering experience was gained as a Senior System Engineer at Samsung SDI and as a Manager at Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Kumar started his professional career as a Scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), where he worked on several defence research and technology programmes.

Backed by a strong battery system, electric mobility and energy storage expertise, Vaneet Kumar’s rich professional journey will now drive the next phase of growth for PCBL Chemical under his leadership.

PCBL Chemical, part of the RP–Sanjiv Goenka Group, is one of India’s leading players in specialty chemicals and performance materials.
