Global battery manufacturer AESC has entered into an agreement to supply battery cells for more than 10 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects being developed by Prevalon Energy. The partnership represents a significant step in supporting the growing demand for large-scale energy storage solutions and accelerating the deployment of renewable energy infrastructure.

Under the agreement, AESC will provide advanced battery cells that will be integrated into Prevalon’s energy storage projects across multiple markets. The supply arrangement is expected to support over 10 GWh of BESS capacity, enabling utilities, grid operators, and renewable energy developers to enhance grid reliability, improve energy management, and facilitate greater integration of renewable power sources.

Battery energy storage systems are playing an increasingly critical role in modern power networks by storing excess electricity generated from renewable sources such as solar and wind and delivering it when demand is high or generation is low. As renewable energy capacity continues to expand globally, demand for reliable and scalable storage solutions has grown significantly.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen Prevalon’s ability to deliver utility-scale energy storage projects while ensuring access to high-quality battery technology. By securing a long-term battery cell supply, the company aims to enhance project execution capabilities and support customers seeking dependable energy storage infrastructure.

For AESC, the agreement reinforces its position as a leading supplier of advanced battery technologies for both electric mobility and stationary energy storage applications. The company continues to expand its presence in the rapidly growing energy storage market, where battery systems are increasingly viewed as a key enabler of the global clean energy transition.

Industry analysts note that partnerships between battery manufacturers and energy storage developers are becoming increasingly important as countries invest in grid modernization and renewable energy deployment. Long-term supply agreements help address potential supply chain constraints while supporting the large-scale deployment of storage systems required to maintain grid stability.

The more than 10 GWh pipeline covered under the agreement highlights the accelerating growth of the global BESS market. Energy storage is expected to play a vital role in balancing electricity supply and demand, reducing curtailment of renewable energy, and improving resilience across power networks.

The partnership between AESC and Prevalon underscores the growing importance of battery storage technologies in achieving decarbonization goals and building a more flexible, reliable, and sustainable energy system. As utility-scale storage deployments continue to increase worldwide, collaborations of this scale are expected to become a cornerstone of future clean energy infrastructure development.
