PeakAmp Partners with Pacto Power for End-to-End Battery Waste Management

Battery circularity and resource recovery company PeakAmp has entered into a strategic partnership with Pacto Power to manage battery waste across its operations. The collaboration focuses on ensuring compliance, traceability, and responsible disposal while strengthening sustainability across the battery lifecycle ecosystem.

End-to-End Lifecycle Management Approach

PeakAmp will be the only partner in charge of managing the entire battery waste lifecycle under the agreement. This includes collecting, planning, recycling, and following Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) rules.

  • Collection and safe transportation of battery waste
  • Recycling through authorised channels
  • Full EPR compliance and reporting
  • End-to-end lifecycle management

The partnership aims to create a structured and transparent framework as battery usage continues to grow across industries.

The companies will also explore opportunities in second-life battery applications and collaborate on the development of new lithium-ion batteries, ensuring better resource utilisation and circularity within the value chain.

Focus on Transparency and Efficiency

Aditya Sudhanshu, Co-Founder and COO of PeakAmp, highlighted the importance of responsible waste handling as battery adoption increases. He stated that the initiative is designed to ensure smooth execution of recycling and compliance processes while improving transparency and operational efficiency.

He emphasized that with the rapid growth in battery usage, building a more efficient and traceable waste management ecosystem has become critical.

Strengthening the Formal Recycling Ecosystem

The collaboration is expected to channel battery waste through authorised recycling networks, reducing leakages into informal systems and improving the recovery of critical materials.

  • Reduction in informal recycling practices
  • Improved recovery of valuable materials
  • Stronger compliance with regulatory norms
  • Enhanced traceability across the lifecycle

Manoj Kushwaha, Director at Pacto Power, said the partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to responsible battery lifecycle management. He noted that PeakAmp’s structured approach will enhance transparency, efficiency, and sustainability, while also enabling innovation in battery reuse and development.

Driving Industry-Wide Shift

The partnership reflects a broader shift within the industry toward integrating compliance, traceability, and sustainability into core battery waste management systems. Rather than treating these aspects as standalone functions, companies are increasingly embedding them into the entire lifecycle.

As battery demand continues to rise, such collaborations are expected to play a key role in formalising recycling practices, improving environmental outcomes, and supporting the long-term sustainability of the energy ecosystem.
