    Pralhad Joshi Lays Foundation For EV Battery Testing Facility in Bengaluru

    At an estimated cost of INR 12 crore, the city will host the world’s first electric vehicle battery testing facility. Pralhad Joshi, the Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, lay the facility’s foundation stone. It is planned to be situated at the National Test House (NTH), which is part of the Regional Reference Standard Laboratory complex in Jakkur, on an acre. With this move, the safety and dependability of electric vehicles would be guaranteed while also strengthening India’s EV ecosystem.

    For EV manufacturers in South India, this cutting-edge facility will offer vital battery testing services with an emphasis on performance indicators, safety requirements, and battery efficiency. Bengaluru’s electric car industry is flourishing, propelling the city’s fast urbanisation. This facility will provide the sector with significant support by offering testing and certification services that guarantee the highest standards of quality and safety. Joshi stated, “More steps are required to boost the EV industry.

    Joshi also emphasised during the occasion how EVs and renewable energy sources work together to create a sustainable future. He urged all parties involved to work together to achieve the common objective of lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
