Premier Energies Secures 1.6 GW Solar Orders Worth ₹2,577 Crore in Q4 FY2026

Premier Energies Limited has secured solar cell and module orders totalling 1.6 GW (1,600 MW) in the fourth quarter of FY2026, with a combined value of approximately ₹2,577 crore. The orders are scheduled for execution across FY2027 and FY2028, reinforcing the company’s strong position in India’s solar manufacturing sector.

Order Details and Customer Base

The contracts have been awarded by a mix of leading domestic players, including Independent Power Producers (IPPs), module manufacturers, and EPC contractors. This diverse customer base highlights continued market confidence in Premier Energies’ integrated manufacturing capabilities.

  • Total order size: 1.6 GW (solar cells and modules)
  • Order value: ₹2,577 crore
  • Execution timeline: FY2027–FY2028
  • Customers: IPPs, EPC firms, and module manufacturers

The company said that some of the cell orders are subject to the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR), which is in line with India’s push for more local manufacturing.

Capacity Expansion and Manufacturing Strength

Premier Energies continues to scale its production capacity to meet rising demand. The company expects its solar cell manufacturing capacity to reach 10.6 GW by September 2026, while its module manufacturing capacity has already expanded to 11.1 GW.

  • Cell manufacturing capacity (target): 10.6 GW
  • Module manufacturing capacity: 11.1 GW

This expansion supports the company’s ability to execute large-scale orders efficiently and strengthens its role in India’s renewable energy supply chain.

Management Commentary and Market Outlook

Commenting on the development, Managing Director Chiranjeev Saluja said, “This robust order inflow underscores the trust placed by our customers in our manufacturing capabilities and technology roadmap. As India accelerates renewable energy deployment under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, we remain focused on delivering high-quality solar solutions at scale.”

Order Book and Future Pipeline

The new orders add to Premier Energies’ growing order book, which now holds about 9.4 GW worth ₹13,723 crore.

  • Revenue breakdown:
    ~₹6,800 crore from solar cells
    ~₹7,000 crore from modules

Deliveries under these projects are expected to continue through FY2028, providing strong revenue visibility over the medium term.

The most recent solar orders show that there is a growing demand for solar parts made in India and Premier Energies is in a good position to take advantage of the country’s fast-moving shift to renewable energy because it has more capacity, a strong order pipeline, and is in line with national goals.
