Eastman Auto & Power Limited has named Rakesh Agrawal as President and CEO of the HV BESS and Inverter Business. This is a big step forward in India’s quickly growing energy storage and power solutions industry.
In his new role, Agrawal will lead strategy, growth, and operations for Eastman’s high-voltage battery energy storage systems (BESS) and inverter business. This appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its position in the renewable energy and EV infrastructure space.
Experienced Leadership in Energy Storage
Before working at Eastman, Agrawal was Head of BESS Business at ElectraEV. There, he was in charge of the company’s energy storage projects’ go-to-market strategy, P&L ownership, and end-to-end sourcing and supply chain management. His leadership helped the BESS projects in the organization grow and run smoothly.
Extensive Career in Mobility and Energy Sectors
Agrawal has worked in the mobility, energy, and manufacturing industries for more than 30 years. Before this, he held senior positions such as:
- AVP – Strategic Sourcing at JBM Group
- Head of Supply Chain Management at SUN Mobility
- Sourcing leadership roles at Exicom Ltd. and Schneider Electric
He also gained valuable experience at Electrotherm (India) Limited, Milacron India, Videocon Consumer Durables, and Secure Meters Limited, building expertise in supply chain management, manufacturing, and energy storage solutions.
