Ram Kripal Patel Appointed Head of Training – Green Energy at Adani Group

Adani Group has named Ram Kripal Patel as the Head of Training for Green Energy (Skills & Education). In this new job, he will be in charge of training and capability-building programs for the green energy sector. These programs will help workers learn new skills that are in line with the company’s goals for renewable energy and sustainability.

Focus on Green Energy Skill Development

In his new position, Patel will lead programs designed to strengthen workforce capabilities in the fast-growing renewable energy sector. Some of his duties will be to come up with training plans, improve technical skills, and help build a skilled workforce to support the company’s growing green energy operations.

The role is expected to contribute to building expertise in areas connected with renewable energy technologies and sustainability initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Training – Green Energy, Patel will focus on several areas, including:

  • Leading training and capability development programs in the green energy sector
  • Supporting workforce skill development aligned with renewable energy initiatives
  • Strengthening education and technical training frameworks within the organization
  • Contributing to the company’s sustainability and clean energy ambitions

Previous Role at Larsen & Toubro

before joining Adani Group in this role, Patel was the Regional Head of Skill Training Institutes at Larsen & Toubro. He was in charge of a number of training centers and programs that were supposed to help people improve their technical skills in a number of areas.

His responsibilities included overseeing training initiatives related to:

  • Training for solar installation
  • Electrical work and other technical jobs
  • Improving skills related to construction
  • Managing the deployment and training of the workforce

Through these initiatives, Patel contributed to the development of skilled professionals for infrastructure, construction, and renewable energy sectors.

Extensive Experience in Energy and Education

Over the course of his career, Patel has held leadership, operational, and training roles across multiple organizations in the energy, education, and skills development sectors.

His professional experience includes positions at:

  • Reliance Power Limited
  • Gujarat Power Engineering and Research Institute
  • Laureate Education, Inc.
  • ACWA Power (operations division)
  • Adani Power
  • JSW Energy
  • National Power Training Institute

This experience has provided him with extensive knowledge of energy sector training, technical education, and workforce development.

Supporting Renewable Energy Workforce Needs

Patel’s hiring shows that there is a growing focus on training skilled workers to help with the rapid growth of renewable energy projects.
