Rebound Technologies Secures $2 Million Investment from KCC Manufacturing to Scale IcePoint® Technology

Rebound Technologies, Inc. has announced a $2 million strategic investment from KCC Manufacturing, further strengthening their preferred manufacturing partnership and supporting the expansion of Rebound’s IcePoint® thermal energy storage technology. The investment follows the successful achievement of key manufacturing milestones and is expected to accelerate the commercial rollout of the company’s advanced cooling and energy solutions across multiple industries.

Strategic Investment to Accelerate Commercial Deployment

The KCC funding is a big step forward for Rebound Technologies as it moves its IcePoint® system from development to large-scale deployment. Industries are having trouble finding the right balance between performance, cost, and reliability because of rising electricity demand and cooling needs.

Rebound’s IcePoint® technology addresses this issue by separating the timing of cooling production from its usage. By generating and storing cooling during off-peak periods and deploying it during peak demand, the system helps reduce energy loads, improve reliability, and optimize operational performance. This approach enables businesses to enhance capacity while maintaining consistent cooling even during periods of high demand.

Growing Role of Thermal Energy Storage

Thermal energy storage is becoming more and more important for managing energy use and keeping things running smoothly as energy systems come under more and more stress. Rebound Technologies is expanding both its technology and manufacturing capabilities to meet this growing demand and make thermal energy storage more common.

“This investment reflects the strength of our collaboration with KCC and the progress we have made moving IcePoint from innovation to commercial deployment,” said Eric Kish, CEO of Rebound Technologies. “As demand grows for flexible cooling and energy solutions, scaling manufacturing is a critical step in delivering our technology to customers who need both performance and efficiency.”

Strengthening Manufacturing Collaboration

KCC Manufacturing has been a big help to Rebound Technologies during the early stages of production, helping with the development of manufacturing and the successful completion of system milestones. The fact that the two companies are still working together shows that they believe the IcePoint® system can grow and make money.

“Our partnership with Rebound represents a shared commitment to advancing innovative thermal energy solutions,” said Joel Strieter, President of KCC Manufacturing. “After working alongside the Rebound team during key manufacturing milestones, we are confident in the technology and excited to support its continued growth.”

The strengthened collaboration between the two companies is expected to drive the next phase of manufacturing scale-up and broader deployment of IcePoint® systems across industries.
