RenewSys Appoints Rajesh Singh as CEO of Encapsulants and Backsheets

RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd., an integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and key components, has appointed Rajesh Singh as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Encapsulants and Backsheets business, effective 1 July 2026. The appointment marks a strategic leadership transition as the company looks to strengthen its position in the global solar materials market and accelerate innovation in photovoltaic manufacturing.

Singh takes over the role after serving as the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), where he played a pivotal role in advancing product innovation, manufacturing excellence, and technology development across the Encapsulants and Backsheets division. During his tenure as CTO, he helped enhance production capabilities, improve product performance, and support the company’s efforts to meet the evolving requirements of solar module manufacturers in India and international markets.

With more than two decades of experience in the photovoltaic industry, Singh brings extensive technical expertise and deep knowledge of solar materials, manufacturing processes, and product development. Over the years, he has contributed to the development of advanced encapsulant and backsheet technologies, while leading initiatives focused on operational efficiency, quality improvement, and sustainable business growth.

In his new role, Singh will oversee the strategic direction of RenewSys’ Encapsulants and Backsheets business, with a focus on expanding the company’s technology portfolio, strengthening customer partnerships, and enhancing manufacturing capabilities. He will also work towards driving innovation in materials that improve the efficiency, durability, and long-term reliability of solar modules.

The appointment comes at a time when the global solar industry is witnessing rapid technological advancements and growing demand for high-performance, reliable photovoltaic materials. As solar installations continue to increase worldwide, manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on advanced encapsulants and backsheets that can enhance module performance, extend operational life, and withstand diverse environmental conditions.

RenewSys said that under Rajesh Singh’s leadership, the company aims to further strengthen its position as a trusted technology partner by delivering innovative encapsulant and backsheet solutions designed for the next generation of high-efficiency solar modules. The company also intends to continue investing in research and development to support evolving customer requirements and emerging trends in the global solar market.

The leadership change aligns with RenewSys’ broader growth strategy of expanding its presence in the renewable energy value chain while supporting the transition to cleaner energy. By combining advanced manufacturing capabilities with continued technological innovation, the company aims to contribute to the development of a more resilient and efficient solar ecosystem.

With Singh at the helm of the Encapsulants and Backsheets business, RenewSys is expected to further enhance its competitive position, strengthen product innovation, and capitalize on growing opportunities in both domestic and international photovoltaic markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Mr. Rajesh Singh has been instrumental in building RenewSys’ technology leadership and strengthening our position in the photovoltaic materials business. His strategic vision, deep industry expertise, and customer-centric approach make him the ideal leader to guide our Encapsulants & Backsheets business into its next phase of growth. I am confident that under his leadership, we will continue to innovate, strengthen our global presence, and deliver greater value to our customers and partners.”

Speaking on his appointment, Rajesh Singh, Chief Executive Officer – Encapsulants & Backsheets, said, “I am honoured to take on this responsibility at a time when innovation and reliability are becoming increasingly important across the solar value chain. RenewSys has built a strong foundation of quality, innovation, and customer trust, and I look forward to working closely with our talented teams, customers, and partners to accelerate growth, strengthen our market leadership, and deliver advanced photovoltaic materials that support the global clean energy transition.”
