REMC Limited, formerly known as Railway Energy Management Company Limited and a joint venture of the Ministry of Railways and RITES Limited, has invited bids on behalf of Indian Railways for the selection of Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) power developers to establish a 17 MW InSTS-connected Solar PV Power Project integrated with a 12.5 MW/50 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on vacant railway land at Dahod, Gujarat. The project will be awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
The tender has been issued under NIT No. REMCL/CO/BESS/2026-27/Dahod, dated 13 July 2026, with REMCL managing the bidding process on behalf of Indian Railways. The initiative is aimed at facilitating the deployment of renewable energy infrastructure on railway land while integrating battery energy storage to support reliable and efficient power supply.
According to the tender schedule, the last date for submission of queries is 23 July 2026, while the pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 hrs on 28 July 2026 at REMC’s office in New Delhi. A coordinated site visit has been scheduled for 4 August 2026, with further details to be shared through the e-bidding portal.
Interested bidders are required to submit online bids by 14:00 hrs on 18 August 2026, while offline submissions must be completed by 14:00 hrs on 20 August 2026. Technical bids will be opened at 14:30 hrs on 20 August 2026. Bid documents are available through the Bharat Electronics Tender portal and the REMC website.
As per the tender conditions, bidders are required to pay a bid document fee of ₹50,000 plus 18% GST and a bid processing fee of ₹340,000 plus 18% GST, both of which are non-refundable. Applications for the Request for Selection (RFS) are to be submitted online, along with the required hard-copy documents in accordance with the tender guidelines.
