SECI achieves a competitive ₹52.50/kg in the latest Green Ammonia auction, marking a key milestone in India's clean energy transition.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has achieved an important landmark in India’s green molecule race toward finding a competitive price of 52.50 per kg in its latest Green Ammonia auction to award GNFC, Bharuch (50,000 TPA). This auction ended with M/s Onix Renewable Limited as the winner.

This milestone spotlights SECI and its consistent policy advocacy drive to green fuels, a transparent and competitive bid formulation system, and a stakeholder-friendly procedure, which has gained an excellent strength in building market confidence.

The price of discovery in the auction has almost always been in close proximity in the recent rounds, and this indeed is setting a stable mark in the Indian Green Ammonia market. Prices have been volatile as follows: 55.75/kg INR- 51.80/kg INR- 52.25/kg INR- 53.05/kg INR- 52.50/kg INR.

SECI has thanked the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the Department of Fertilizers (Government of India), as well as GNFC for having the future for SECI-Green Ammonia and their support and trust in its vision of Green Ammonia.

This is not just an achievement in pricing alone, but would also solidify the headway made towards clean energy transition in India, making Green Ammonia an attractive, viable, and price-competitive offering to be used in the industry.

SECI also expressed gratitude to all its partners, bidders, and stakeholders in initiatives to build a cleaner and more sustainable future for India.
