Serentica Renewables Appoints Satish Kumar Rathor as COO – Solar & BESS

Serentica Renewables has appointed Satish Kumar Rathor as Chief Operating Officer – Solar & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to expand its clean energy portfolio in India.

Leadership to Drive Solar and Storage Growth

In his new role, Rathor will lead Serentica’s solar and battery energy storage operations, focusing on execution excellence, operational scale-up, and the delivery of reliable round-the-clock clean energy solutions for industrial consumers. His appointment aligns with the company’s strategy to enhance its capabilities in integrated renewable energy and storage solutions.

Extensive Industry Experience

Rathor brings nearly three decades of experience across nuclear, thermal, and renewable energy sectors. His professional background includes large-scale project execution, operational optimisation, and the integration of clean energy technologies across diverse energy portfolios.

Prior to joining Serentica Renewables, he served as Vice President at KEC International Limited, where he played a key role in leading major renewable energy projects across India. His career reflects strong execution capabilities, cross-functional leadership, and a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects at scale.

Leadership Perspective

Commenting on the appointment, Akshay Hiranandani, CEO of Serentica Renewables, said, “We are pleased to welcome Satish to Serentica Renewables. His extensive experience across conventional and renewable energy domains, coupled with strong operational leadership, will be critical as we scale our solar and storage portfolio and strengthen our capabilities to deliver reliable, sustainable power to the industry.”

Rathor also expressed enthusiasm about joining the company at a time when it is contributing to India’s industrial decarbonisation efforts. He noted that he looks forward to working with the leadership team to enhance execution capabilities and deliver dependable clean energy solutions at scale.

Strengthening Clean Energy Ambitions

The appointment comes as Serentica Renewables continues to scale its solar and energy storage portfolio, addressing the growing demand for integrated clean energy solutions in India’s commercial and industrial sector.

With this leadership addition, the company aims to further strengthen its operational capabilities and accelerate its mission of delivering sustainable and reliable power solutions across industries.
