TD Power Systems Appoints Deepak Kumar Sinha as CEO

TD Power Systems Limited has appointed Deepak Kumar Sinha as its Chief Executive Officer, effective April 3, 2026. The appointment was approved by the company’s board based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, marking a significant leadership transition aimed at strengthening the company’s position in the power equipment sector.

Deepak Sinha’s appointment in TD Power brings in a seasoned industry leader with extensive experience in power generation technologies, aligning with the company’s long-term growth and energy transition strategy.

Over Three Decades of Industry Experience

Deepak Kumar Sinha has worked in the power sector for more than 30 years and has held senior leadership positions at some of the biggest companies in the field. He was the Chief Executive and Whole-time Director at L&T-MHI Power Turbine Generators Private Limited (LMTG) before this. There, he worked on designing and making advanced turbines and generators for India’s large-scale thermal power plants.

He has also held key positions at GE Power, gaining significant exposure to global power equipment markets and advanced engineering solutions.

Strong Academic and Technical Background

Sinha has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bhagalpur Engineering College and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management in Kozhikode. He has strong technical and managerial skills because of his academic background and hands-on experience in the field.

Driving Growth in Power Equipment and Energy Transition

With a proven track record in turbine and generator operations, Sinha is expected to enhance TD Power Systems’ end-to-end capabilities across power solutions. His expertise in managing complex manufacturing operations and delivering advanced power equipment is likely to support the company’s expansion in both domestic and international markets.

Industry news shows that changes in leadership at major power equipment companies come at a time when India is investing more in power infrastructure and energy transition technologies, which opens up new growth opportunities.

Outlook for TD Power Systems

TD Power Systems is expected to become more competitive in the market, have a wider range of products, and have more technical depth after Sinha’s appointment. The company wants to speed up operational excellence and take advantage of new opportunities in the changing energy landscape by using his product-focused approach and industry experience.
