Terra Charge Gains 64 Clients, Expands Hospitality Partnerships

Terra Charge expanded its clientele in 2024. The company has added 64 new partners in India, bringing its global total to over 200. In recent years, Terra Charge has associated with renowned brands like The Leela Palace, Hotels and Resorts in Delhi, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Siri Nature Roost Resort in Chikmagalur, Sandesh The Prince in Mysore, and Themis Greekhouse in Murthal. The company has installed approximately 2-3 charging points at the premises of each of these premium hotels.

These collaborations mark Terra Charge’s entry into luxe hospitality spaces and align with its mission to make advanced charging infrastructure accessible to the public. The CPO aims to add 10 more hotels to its clientele by the end of FY 24-25, strengthening its footing in the INR 82,000 core hospitality industry.

Akihiro Ueda, CEO of Terra Charge, said, “In Terra Charge’s decade-long journey in India, we have partnered with numerous commercial and public entities across sectors to make efficient charging solutions more accessible. However, collaborating with prestigious hospitality brands such as The Leela Palaces and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has allowed us to introduce our charging solutions to premium hotels, resorts, and BYOB properties. This move has allowed us to support sustainable tourism initiatives and promote green mobility in public space. These collaborations are also a part of our broader expansion goal to build an extensive public charging network and lead the global EV ecosystem.”

As part of these efforts in the hospitality space, Terra Charge has installed an EV charging hub featuring a 30kW DC charger at the Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts in Delhi. Similarly, to cater to the evolving charging demand of premium hotel parking facilities, the company introduced Takumi, a 3.3kW Made in India EV charger, early in 2024. The charger was designed to support hotels and resorts’ efforts to provide EV charging amenities for guests and visitors.

Currently, the company has 50 live charging stations and maintains a network of 400 charging points in India. The CPO is exploring more relevant business partnerships to expand its global charging network. It has recently collaborated with the Airports Authority of India to install Japanese technology-powered charging hubs at 5 airports in India to make public charging more accessible and efficient. Terra Charge has also developed a public charging station in Ghaziabad, featuring 70 slow chargers and a fast DC charger with a capacity of 60 kW to support India’s EV infrastructure goals. The EV charging infrastructure company aims to operate 800 charging points with approximately 90 live stations across India by the end of FY 24-25.
