Gen 5 Turntide NMC Battery Pack Range

The EU-compliant Gen 5 NMC modular battery from Turntide Technologies (Turntide), a pioneer in energy storage, power electronics, and electric motors, is now available. With a high energy density and a low-profile form factor, the battery provides improved safety, dependability, and sustainability, allowing OEMs more flexibility for quick integration and scalability across a variety of applications.

Navigating Compliance Amid Soaring Battery Demand & E.U. Regulatory Changes

In order to prevent delays due to regulatory setbacks, OEMs must comply in crucial areas including durability, thermal propagation and fire safety, recycling, and product transparency, as the demand for batteries is expected to treble globally by 2030 and new EU battery laws go into force. By directly addressing these demands, the Gen 5 battery speeds up the process of increased manufacturing. Because the Gen 5 complies with some of the world’s most stringent laws, it is among the safest and most dependable batteries on the market.

Versatility Allows Gen 5 Battery to Adapt Across Industries

Because of its scalable and modular architecture, the Gen 5 battery is perfect for a variety of uses. Because of its high volumetric and gravimetric energy density, it is more effective and may be installed in a variety of verticals, including military, industrial, construction, AGV, and agriculture.

    Additional features include:

    • CE, UN38.3, ECE-R100.3 standards that meet international regulatory and safety compliance.
    • Modular, scalable design from 4.5 kWh (100 Ah) or 6.8 kWh (150 Ah) or connect multiple battery packs (up to 18 total, max 9 in series) to increase total energy storage for custom voltage and capacity.
    • Securely mountable in 3-axis
    • Separate BCU (battery control unit) for greater flexibility, ease of installation and simplified serviceability.
    • Proven lifecycle with more than 3,000 cycles with 85% capacity retention, the battery features an IP66-rated weatherproof aluminum case offering excellent protection for reliable energy storage.

“OEMs are under pressure to accelerate the development and deployment of electric vehicles,” stated Steve Hornyak, CEO, Turntide. “Our regulation-ready Gen 5 battery is designed for immediate integration, helping OEMs accelerate their path to production in a market that demands safety, transparency, and reliability at every stage of the battery lifecycle.”

With a range of OEM-ready solutions, Turntide keeps accelerating electrification while building on the success of its AF430S axial flux motor. The AF430S axial flux motor, which was introduced in mid-April, redefines power and efficiency in a small package. It provides high performance and constant torque in demanding applications, such as construction equipment, electric cars, military, marine, and high-speed transit. Turntide’s regulation-ready battery, which is built for quick integration, now enhances that innovation. When combined, these options provide an affordable, flexible, and scalable route to electrification without necessitating significant vehicle redesigns or sacrificing functionality.

For everything that moves, Turntide Technologies creates and produces top-notch electric motors, power electronics, energy storage, and thermal equipment.

Turntide Technologies services clients in international markets and industries, such as off-highway automobiles, commercial vehicles, rail, maritime, light vehicles, commercial buildings, and luxury automobiles. The company has operations in North America, the United Kingdom, and India.
