As part of its growth strategy, Websol has entered the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana ecosystem to support the adoption of rooftop solar among residential consumers. The company has also introduced its DCR Solar Kit, while strengthening its capabilities in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), C&I solar and Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) projects.
Websol Expands Presence in PM Surya Ghar Scheme
Websol’s participation in the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana forms part of its residential solar strategy. Through its rooftop solar offerings, the company aims to provide integrated solutions covering solar modules, inverters and associated balance-of-system components, along with installation and project support.
The company is focusing on developing a streamlined solar adoption process for consumers, channel partners and other project stakeholders while contributing to the expansion of rooftop solar installations in India.
Launches DCR Solar Kit
Websol has also launched its DCR Solar Kit for the residential rooftop solar segment. The kit combines domestically manufactured solar modules with other essential components required for rooftop solar installations.
The solution is designed to simplify procurement and installation for customers and channel partners involved in projects requiring Domestic Content Requirement (DCR)-compliant modules. Standardised system components and project-oriented packaging are intended to provide an organised approach to rooftop solar deployment.
Strengthens EPC Capabilities
Alongside its product portfolio, Websol is expanding its EPC capabilities to undertake end-to-end solar projects. Its EPC offering covers system design and engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning and project coordination.
The company intends to use this integrated approach to address solar project requirements across residential, commercial, industrial and larger-scale installations.
Focus on Commercial and Industrial Solar
Websol is also strengthening its presence in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar segment. Rooftop and distributed solar systems can provide businesses with an alternative source of electricity while supporting efforts to reduce dependence on conventional power sources.
The company plans to leverage its solar manufacturing experience and project capabilities to develop solutions based on the energy requirements and site conditions of C&I customers.
Enters RESCO-Based Solar Projects
Websol is further expanding its project portfolio through RESCO-based solar projects. The model provides an alternative for organisations seeking to adopt solar power without making the entire upfront investment.
Under a typical RESCO arrangement, the project developer finances, installs and operates the solar system, while the customer purchases the electricity generated by the project under an agreed contractual arrangement.
Websol’s entry into the RESCO segment adds another deployment model to its expanding solar solutions portfolio and allows the company to address different categories of customers.
Expanding Beyond Solar Manufacturing
With its experience in solar cell and module manufacturing, Websol is expanding from its traditional manufacturing operations toward a broader solar energy solutions portfolio.
