Yuma Energy Partners with HPCL to Expand Smart Battery Swapping Across India

Yuma Energy, the fastest-growing Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider in India, has declared a strategic alliance with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, one of the largest energy companies in the country with more than 24000 retail stores. This partnership is a significant step towards enhancing India mobility infrastructure in terms of cleanliness.

With this partnership, Yuma Energy will leverage the vast retail presence that HPCL has to deploy AI-driven, smart battery swapping stations in places with heavy demand, including metro cities and even tier-2 towns. This project will provide riders, delivery fleets, and businesses with a fast, reliable, convenient way to refuel with full batteries, which will mimic the ease of conventional refueling.

Breaking the barrier of Scale and Accessibility

The joint venture offers Yuma Energy unparalleled scalability such that the swapping network can be expanded at a rapid pace and the accessibility to customers is enhanced. The countrywide coverage of HPCL makes Yuma Stations strategically placed to respond to demand in real-time and thus EV users will never be distant to immediate energy solutions.

India is experiencing an increasing demand of EVs

As the adoption of electric vehicles rapidly increases in India and the country is likely to adopt the technology in the two- and three-wheeler market more than ever, a reliable ecosystem of charging and swapping is as required as it has been before. This partnership addresses that issue by bringing together the reliable network that HPCL has with the experience of Yuma Energy as a battery swap technology company.

    Ready Energy Solutions

Not only will the partnership accelerate the uptake of clean energy, but it will also see HPCL diversify into clean energy solutions that are future ready. To the users of EVs, this implies affordable and reliable battery swops that are easily accessible at HPCL stations around the country.

    Looking Ahead

Customers at the HPCL fuel stations will soon have Yuma Energy Stations where they will get battery swaps in a seamless, fast and eco-friendly manner. The project is a move that will reshape the EV ecosystem in India as clean and immediate energy will become available at all times.
